Solution
Hotel room control for key cards, Do Not Disturb and blinds
Welcome scenes, Do Not Disturb and blinds from key card and button inputs, with PMS updates over HTTP. A hotel room control system built on the RELO IO8.
Check-in, Do Not Disturb, check-out
The key card reader closes a contact and the room runs its welcome scene: lights on, blinds to day position. The Do Not Disturb button latches the corridor indicator. Each change goes to the property management system over HTTP.
The Do Not Disturb state lives in a stored value that the controller saves to its memory, so a room that loses power comes back in the state the guest left it.
One controller per room, one dashboard per hotel
Each room gets a RELO IO8 in a wall mount or a riser cabinet. Cueva Horizon shows every room on one dashboard, with alerts when a controller goes offline and firmware pushed to the whole building at once.
- Key card, DND and make-up-room buttons on the inputs
- Lighting, blinds and indicators on the relays
- PMS and building systems over HTTP and TCP
- PoE+ power from the room network switch
Guest and staff touch panels (coming soon)
With Cueva Interface Builder you design the room panel in Cueva Desktop and run it on a wall-mounted tablet. Pages can be limited to specific users, so a guest sees lights, blinds and Do Not Disturb while staff log in with a PIN for the service page.

Questions
Common questions.
If the PMS or its middleware accepts HTTP requests or webhooks, yes. The RELO IO8 can also receive HTTP calls, so the PMS can set a room to check-out from its side.
The relays are 24V at 400mA. Use them to switch the control input of a lighting controller or a contactor, not the lighting circuit itself.
Through Cueva Horizon: live status per room, offline alerts and over-the-air updates across the fleet, at a per-device yearly price.
