Integration
Relays and inputs on your Stream Deck with Bitfocus Companion
The Cueva Control module for Bitfocus Companion puts RELO IO8 relays, presets and live input state on a Stream Deck. Toggle, pulse and get feedback per button.
What the module does
Search for Cueva Control in the Companion Connections tab, enter the RELO IO8 address and the third-party access token from Device Settings, Security, Integrations in Cueva Desktop, and the device is ready. Every button can now switch real hardware.
- Relay on, off, toggle and pulse for a set time
- Trigger an automation flow from a button
- Recall relay presets, all eight relays in one press
- Set the status LED colour, brightness and effect
- Live feedback: relay state, input state and connection
Where it is used
Broadcast and live production crews use it for tally lights, on-air signs, studio doors and equipment power. Venues use it as an operator panel for screens, lifts and house lights. Because the RELO IO8 inputs show up as feedback, a physical button in the room can light a key on the Stream Deck too.
Stream Deck, touch panel or both
A Stream Deck is right for an operator who wants physical keys at a desk. A touch panel is right for a room, a client or a wall. Cueva Interface Builder, coming soon to Cueva Desktop, designs that panel for any iPad, iPhone or Android device, and it controls the same RELO IO8 as your Stream Deck.
Questions
Common questions.
Use a current Companion release and search for Cueva Control under Connections. The module page in Companion lists its own requirements.
Only once, to copy the auth token and to build flows if you want more than direct relay control. Day-to-day control runs from Companion.
Yes. Input state is a feedback, so a button can change colour when a contact on the RELO IO8 closes.
